Altering the DBMS Version
If the customer wants to alter the DBMS version they use with the block mode and Server Runtimes, they must make the following hand-edits in the UNIX or Linux Runtime environment:
- Update the platform header file: $IEFH/make/<platform>.h:
Use the <platform>.h file when building an application. Modify or confirm the following script variables when altering the DBMS version:
- XALIBS - Database library for XA usage (Oracle only)
- LIBS - Database library list
- PCC - Precompiler location
- PCCINC - Precompiler includes
- DBMSINC - Database includes
- Run $IEFH/make/mkdbs:
- The mkdbs procedure updates the database library and rebuilds the DDL loader for the DBMS.
