Adopt Selected can be used in several types of scenarios. For example, the same logical object can be created independently in two models; you decide to replace one definition with the other. The main consideration for adoption in such a scenario is to determine whether you must adopt any other objects with the object of interest. Consider the scenario where you want to adopt tablespaces.
