The NEWFILE keyword points to the file that is compared against a baseline, or old file. This keyword is allowed once per command, can only reference a VSAM or a sequential file or a member of a PDS, and is only valid with the COMPARE command. The default value is SYSUT1N, however this value may have been changed by updating the &BAT_NEWFILE installation option.
