How to Migrate a Failover Deployment

You can migrate an existing r12x failover deployment to an r12.1 Federation Manager deployment.

For Federation Manager r12, a failover configuration required that each Federation Manager machine point to a separate database server. This is no longer necessary.

Migrating a failover deployment from r12 requires the following:

  1. Copying the r12x configuration to an r12.1 system.
  2. Updating the proxy server or load balancer to pass the appropriate URLs to the new r12.1 systems.
