Install the Network Security Services Utility

You install the Network Security Services (NSS) utility to manage your certificate database files. Install the utility on a system where the Netscape Portable Runtime (NSPR) component or Federation Manager is installed. Installing the utility on a system with either component helps ensure that the necessary DLLs or shared objects are available.

To install the NSS utility

  1. Access the Mozilla NSS 3.2.2 FTP site.
  2. Download the respective zip or tar for your operating system.

    Note: A zip is not available for Windows Server 2000 or 2003. Download the zip for Windows NT.

  3. Extract the NSS utility to a temporary location on the system where you are managing your certificate database files.
