The FAVER2 Transparency is a layer of software that allows CA FAVER to process an export tape created by CA FAVER2 for VSE. The transparency provides the records to CA-FAVER in CA-FAVER's own internal format. The only real overhead impact is in processing the header record, but that is only one per file being reloaded, and even then, it's not that much extra processing. The vast majority of the data (the actual user file data) is piped through the transparency layer with very little overhead.
