CA VSAMAID is the CA VSAM tuning and monitoring package. CA FAVER collects CA VSAMAID history data before it restores VSAM clusters in order to implement CA VSAMAID recommendations. To use CA VSAMAID history data during a restore for improved space utilization, include the VSAMAID parameter in the EXPORT jobstream.
