VSAMAID | NOVSAMAID

VSAMAID is a VSAM performance and tuning package from CA. The VSAMAID parameter passes data to CA VSAMAID about the clusters included in the EXPORT. CA FAVER supplies data to CA VSAMAID as it exports clusters. When NOVSAMAID is in effect, CA FAVER makes no attempt to pass performance tuning data to CA-VASMAID during export processing.

This parameter has no operands.

Usage Rule

The following usage rules apply to the VSAMAID and NOVSAMAID parameters:

• A TRENDS DD statement must be added to the JCL when CA VSAMAID is specified. For more information on the TRENDS DD statement, see the CA VSAMAID VSAM Tools User Guide.
• NOVSAMAID is the default unless the GVPARMS utility is used to change the default to VSAMAID.
