EXPORT

EXPORT backs up (or exports) VSAM objects (clusters, alternate indexes, and paths) to disk or tape. EXPORT is invoked by the execution of the GVEXPORT program. The GVEXPORT control statements provide:

• The catalog where exported clusters are defined
• The grouping of clusters
• The names of clusters needed for certain options
