The only VSAM organizations that CA FAVER will not process properly are those that cannot tolerate reorganization. The VSAM clusters currently known to use unreorganizable files are APL work space and SSS. We recommend that CA FAVER not be used on these types of clusters. Note that equally disastrous results occur when IDCAMS REPRO or EXPORT/IMPORT is used. Some products create unique data/index formats. These could produce unpredictable results.
