Authentication Error !!! Client not authenticated to get updates from Proxy

Reason:

The subscription client is not authenticated; therefore, it cannot get the updates from the subscription proxy server. Before a subscription client requests information from a subscription proxy, the client authenticates itself using a CA EEM certificate. Only after the authentication succeeds is communication allowed. An authentication error can occur when the CA EEM server is down or the authentication certificate fails.

Action:

Try the following actions to restore authentication between the subscription client and its proxy.

To start the iGateway service

  1. Log in as the caelmadmin user for the CA Enterprise Log Manager management server.
  2. Switch users to the root account with the following command:
    su -
    
  3. Start the igateway process with the following command:
    $IGW_LOC/S99igateway start
    

    S99igateway is the start-up script for the igateway process.

    Note: If you are unable to start iGateway, ensure the "/" folder has available disk space. Lack of disk space can prevent you from successfully starting iGateway.
