Edit the Global Subscription Configuration

During the implementation phase, an Administrator configures global subscription settings that are inherited by individual CA Enterprise Log Managers. By default, the first CA Enterprise Log Manager installed is the Default subscription proxy and all CA Enterprise Log Managers installed after the first are set as subscription clients. Unless explicitly configured, the default proxy contacts the CA Subscription server directly and downloads product updates to all clients, including itself.

You can change the global settings at any time. Any changes you make are inherited by all local CA Enterprise Log Managers for which overrides do not exist. That is, if a changed setting was previously overridden at the local level, that override will continue to be honored.

Settings that can only be made and edited at the global level include:

• RSS Feed URL
• Public Key - Version
• Cleanup Updates Older Than n Days
• Auto Restart after OS Update
• Subscription Proxy(s) for Content Updates

To edit the global subscription configuration

1. Click the Administration tab and the Services subtab.
2. Click Subscription Module and examine the Global Services Configuration: Subscription Module settings in the right pane.
3. Review the settings and change any that are not acceptable.
