Edit the Configuration of an Online Proxy

During the implementation phase, an Administrator configures global subscription settings. Individual CA Enterprise Log Manager servers inherit global settings.

Consider the subscription role of a server when planning an override of global settings. The following procedure applies to CA Enterprise Log Manager servers defined as Subscription Proxy.

Note: Before changing the role of a Subscription Proxy, edit the configurations of the subscription clients that use this proxy. In the Subscription Proxy(s) for Client, remove the CA Enterprise Log Manager server with the changing role.

To edit the configuration of an online subscription proxy

1. Click the Administration tab and the Services subtab.
2. Expand the Subscription Module and select a host that is configured as a subscription proxy.

   The Subscription Module Service Configuration for the selected CA Enterprise Log Manager server appears.

3. To edit an inherited global setting, click the global settings button to switch to local setting.

   Note: To restore the global setting, click the button again. The restore occurs after the next Update Interval, configured on the Global Service Configuration page.

4. To edit the update schedule, edit the Update Frequency.
5. To configure a new or different HTTP proxy server, change one or more of the applicable fields.
6. If the correct modules to download are different from the inherited settings, make the needed changes. Updates for the selected modules are downloaded, stored, and served to the clients that request them. (The population of available modules depends on the RSS Feed URL, a global subscription configuration.)
7. Click Save.
