About Offline Subscription Packages

The FTP site containing offline subscription packages is:

The FTP site for offline subscription contains a folder for each major release, for example:

• 12.0_Offline_Subscription
• 12.1_Offline_Subscription

Every folder has a core tar file. Only the folder for the current release has an additional supplementary tar file. Details on how the contents of these folders and tar files change follow:

• The 12.0_Offline_Subscription folder is the model for prior release folders; it contains one tar file, subscription_12_x_x_x.tar. This tar file contains files and modules for CA Enterprise Log Manager r12.0 release, all of its service packs, all monthly content updates, and all hotfixes produced during that release cycle.
• The 12.1_Offline_Subscription folder is the folder model for the current release. The subscription_12_x_x_x.tar file contains the files and modules for CA Enterprise Log Manager r12.1. This core file is updated when a new service pack becomes available. During the r12.1 SP1 release cycle, the core file contents reflect r12.1 SP1. When r12.1 SP2 is released, the core file reflects that service pack. Monthly content updates and hot fixes are made available in a supplementary tar file, subscription_monthly_update_M<n>.tar. The <n> in the filename represents the month of the update. This cumulative file is updated no more often than monthly.
• When a new major release becomes available, a new folder is created with a core tar file. When a monthly content update becomes available, a supplementary file is added.

  Note: When a new folder is created, the core file and the supplementary file in the most recent folder are consolidated into a single core file. The final core file for that release contains all the updates for that release.
