Configuring Subscription
The subscription module is similar to other services in that there are both global settings and local settings.
The subscription module is different from other services in the following ways:
- Global settings that require selection of proxies are dependent on settings done at the local level. You set subscription proxies for content updates at the global level but the available list of proxies is not populated until proxies are configured. You configure servers that are to act as proxies at the local level, as either proxy or offline proxy.
- All local CA Enterprise Log Manager servers are not alike in terms of their configuration needs. Different servers have different roles. The role of the server dictates what settings are relevant to configure.
Global subscription settings vary in applicability as follows:
- Settings that cannot be overridden at the local level (Global only) follow:
- Default Subscription Proxy
- RSS Feed URL - used by all online proxies
- Public Key - used by all online proxies
Important! Do not update this setting manually.
- Cleanup Updates Older Than n Days - applies to all proxies (online and offline)
- Auto Restart After OS Update - applies to all clients
Note: All CA Enterprise Log Managers are clients, including those servers that are proxies or offline proxies.
- Subscription Proxies for Content Updates
- Settings that are configured only at the local level
- Subscription Proxy
- Offline Subscription Proxy
Of those global settings that can be overridden at the local level, the ability to override depends on whether the server is defined as an online proxy or a client. Details follow:
- Settings that apply to online proxies that you can override
- Five settings related to HTTP proxy

- Setting that applies to subscription clients that you can override
