CA Endevor Integration for the Natural Environment Enhancements
This product release introduces the following usability and performance enhancements to the CA Endevor Integration for the Natural Environment option:
- The support of mixed case passwords.
- The ability to control the number of Add and Retrieve actions per batch job. With this product release, the number of actions per job is site controlled with a new UEXIT00 variable, +EINE-MAX-ADD-RETRIEVE-PER-JOB. Previously, the number of actions was hardcoded and up to 240 actions could be included in a batch job. A large number of Add and Retrieve actions in a single batch job could cause NATRJE buffer problems when the job was submitted.
- The ability to change the initial default values of certain Action Options. The following UEXIT00 variables can be used to specify new initial default values:
- +EINE-DFLT-SIGNOUT
- +EINE-DFLT-REPLACE
- +EINE-DFLT-GENERATE
- +EINE-DFLT-UPDATE
- +EINE-DFLT-W-HIST
- +EINE-DFLT-RET-SIGNOUT
- +EINE-DFLT-ACK-JUMP
- +EINE-DFLT-DEL-FROM
- +EINE-DFLT-COPYBACK
- The modification of the Batch Retrieve process to allow the CA Endevor SCM Return Code to be set to a 12 when REPLACE=NO is specified in the Retrieve action and the Natural object already exists in the target Natural library. In previous versions, the CA Endevor SCM step always reported a Return Code of zero for the Retrieve action even if the Natural object existed in the Natural library and was not replaced. There was no indication in CA Endevor SCM or the subsequent Natural load step that the Natural object was not replaced. The Natural load step output had to be checked for each Retrieve action performed to determine if the object was replaced or not.
- The ability to view the entire 1792 column source record of a Predict element. The option requires the addition of a new C1PRTVB DD statement to the EINE server jobs.
- The increase in the maximum number of FUSER/FDIC site symbolic combinations from 50 to 99.
- The change in where the USER= and PASSWORD= parameters are included in the job card. The USER= and PASSWORD= parameters are now inserted after the first job card read-in occurs. This change allows for site specific comments to be added after the last parameter of the last job card. Previously, the USER= and PASSWORD= parameters were appended to the end of the last job card.
- The allowance for different DBID, FUSER and FDIC files to be specified in a Foreground Add action of Natural and Predict objects when using the SYSOBJH option in the +EINE-SYSTRANS-SYSOBJH UEXIT00 variable.Previously, FG Add actions were restricted to the same DBID, FUSER and FDIC files that the CA Endevor Integration for the Natural Environment application was installed on.
