This scenario describes how the CA Endevor SCM administrator enables the Web Services component, which is required for the Eclipse-Based UI. This component also enables you to connect user-written programs to the API.

To enable this feature, the CA Endevor SCM administrator requires the assistance of the following roles:

• CA Common Services administrator (or systems programmer)— This role is required to enable the CA Common Services Common Communications Interface (CAICCI) Spawn facility for Web Services.
• Web Application Server administrator— This role is required to deploy and configure Web Services. This person should be knowledgeable about web application servers such as Tomcat, the AXIS2 SOAP message handler, and JAVA.
• Security administrator— This role is required to configure your site security software to enable the CAICCI spawn facility to function for Web Services.
