Resetting Domain Inheritance

If you use the options in the Domain Editor to override specific domain settings inherited from the parent domain, you can easily reset the domain properties to the defaults provided by the parent domain. A high level of precision is provided when resetting domain inheritance: you can reset a single property, a group of properties, or all properties for the selected domain.

You can click the Reset Property Inheritance button Inherit Button for Restoring Property Inheritance in the Domain Editor to work with options in the Reset Domain Properties dialog.

Note: When you reset domain properties, any attributes or columns that use the domain you reset will use the new domain properties that you specify. You can use the Attribute or Table Column Editors to manually change properties individually.
