Preview the Schema DDL Script

Use the options in the Schema Generation Preview dialog to preview the schema DDL script.

To preview the schema DDL script

1. Click the Preview button on the Schema Generation dialog.

   The Schema Generation Preview dialog opens, and the schema DDL script generated for the current model is displayed.

2. Choose from the following options:

   Save

   Opens the Generate SQL Schema Report dialog to save the schema DDL script as an .ers, .sql, or .ddl text file. After you save the file, you can change it in a text editor and run it against the database using a utility that interprets SQL scripts.

   Print

   Prints a copy of the schema DDL script.

   Search

   Opens the Find dialog to search for a text string.

   Replace

   Opens the Replace dialog to search for a text string and replace it with a new text string.

   Cut

   Cuts the text.

   Copy

   Copies the text.

   Paste

   Pastes the text.

   Click Generate to start the schema generation process or Close to return to the Schema Generation dialog.
