Define SQL Server 2000 Table Physical Storage Properties

Use the SQL Server Table Editor to assign a table to a filegroup. This procedure assumes you are working in a physical model, with SQL Server 2000 defined as the target server.

To define physical storage properties for a SQL Server 2000 table

1. Click Tables on the Model menu.

   The SQL Server Table Editor opens.

2. Select the table in the Navigation Grid for which you want to define storage properties.

   Note: Click New on the toolbar to create a new table. Use the Enter filter text box to filter a very large list of tables to quickly locate the one that you want to define.

3. Select the filegroup from the Filegroup drop-down to which you want to assign the selected table. You can also click the Filegroup Editor button to open the SQL Server File Group Editor to create a new filegroup.
4. Click Close.

   The storage properties are assigned and the SQL Server Table Editor closes.
