Set Macro Display Preferences

Use the Template Editor Preferences dialog to set macro display preferences for the Macros pane of the Template Editor.

To set macro display preferences

  1. Select Forward Engineer, Forward Engineering Templates from the Actions menu (in either a physical or logical/physical model).

    The Template Editor opens.

  2. Click the Configure Template Editor - Configure icon on the Template Editor toolbar.

    The Template Editor Preferences dialog opens.

  3. Select from the following options in the Macros section and click OK.
    Hide these categories

    Lets you specify which macro categories to not display in the Macros pane in the Template Editor.

    Note: This does not apply to the alphabetical display of all macros.

    Always hide deprecated macros

    Specifies to hide all macros categorized as deprecated. A macro categorized as deprecated means that support for it will eventually be removed from the product.

    Always hide discouraged macros

    Specifies to hide all macros categorized as discouraged. A macro categorized as discouraged means that the macro has been replaced by an alternate macro, and you are encouraged to switch to the new syntax when editing new code.

    Your preferences are applied, the Template Editor Preferences dialog closes, and you are returned to the Template Editor.
