Resolve a Many-to-Many Relationship with a Transformation

You can apply a Many-to-Many transformation on an existing many-to-many relationship in a logical-only model or the logical side of a logical/physical model.

To resolve a many-to-many relationship with a transformation

  1. Select the relationship line that connects the two entities.

    The Resolve to Many-to-Many Relationship icon becomes active on the Transformations toolbar.

  2. Click the Resolve to Many-to-Many Relationship Many to Many transformation icon icon.

    A new associative entity is created, connected to each source entity with an identifying relationship.
