Oracle Synonym Editor - General Tab

Use the General tab in the Oracle Synonym editor to define general properties for a model-level synonym such as object name and owner, and to define a database link for the synonym.

The following describes the options available for this tab:

Public

Select this check box if this is a public synonym. Every user in the database can access a public synonym.

Remote Object Properties

Enter information for the following:

Object Name

Enter the synonym property object name.

Object Owner

Enter the synonym property object owner.

DB Link

Select an Oracle database link from the drop-down list, or click the button to open the Oracle Database Link Editor where you can create a new database link.
