Define Data Movement Rules in a Property Editor

The Data Movement tab appears on selected physical storage object property editors to document the maintenance processes required to update each physical storage object in your dimensional model regularly.

To define a data movement rule

1. Open the property editor for a physical storage object and click the Data Movement tab.

   The Data Movement tab opens.

2. Complete the following field on the Data Movement tab and click Close.

   Data Movement Rules

   Specifies the Refresh, Append, Backup, Recovery, Archiving, and Purge data movement maintenance rules associated with the physical storage object in your model.

   Your edits are saved and the property editor closes.
