You use the DB2 for LUW User Mapping Editor to define a mapping between a user ID and a specific federated server. If you are using the same user ID and password to connect to the federated database and to access the remote data source, you need not create a user mapping.
To define DB2 user mappings
The DB2 for LUW User Mapping Editor opens.
Note: Click New on the toolbar to create a user mapping name. Use the Enter filter text text box to filter a large list of names to locate the one you want to work with.
Specifies the name of the user mapping.
Specifies to use the USER special register instead of the User Id selection.
Specifies the User ID you want to associate with the user mapping. Select a User Id from the drop-down list.
Specifies the server name you want to associate with the user mapping. Select a server from the drop-down list.
Specifies whether or not to generate DDL for this object during Forward Engineering.
The DB2 for LUW User Mapping Editor closes.
