Create a New Diagram

Use the following procedure to create a new diagram for the diagram window.

To create a new diagram

1. Click New Diagram on the Diagram menu.

   A new blank diagram name is created in the Model Explorer either under ER Diagrams or under Subject Areas, depending on your selection. Use in-place editing to change the diagram name. The new diagram is also opened in the workspace.

2. Click Diagrams on the Diagram menu.

   The ER Diagram Editor dialog appears. You can use the system defaults for many options, click the Members tab and indicate which of the available objects to include in the diagram.

3. Click Close.

   Your work is saved and the editor closes.

Note: The tabs at the bottom of the diagram window identify each diagram that you create. Click a tab to view the diagram.
