Create a DB2 LUW Security Label
Use the DB2 for LUW Security Label Editor to create security labels for a DB2 LUW physical model. You then associate a security label with a security label component and a security policy.
To create a DB2 LUW security label
- Right-click a Security Label in the Model Explorer and select Properties.
The DB2 for LUW Security Label Editor opens.
- Select a security label and work with the following options:
Note: Click New on the toolbar to create a security label. Use the Enter filter text text box to filter a large list of names to locate the one you want to work with.
- Name

Specifies the name of the security label.
- Security Policy
-
Specifies a security policy to associate with the selected security label.
- Generate
-
Specifies whether or not to generate DDL for this object during Forward Engineering.
- On the General tab, work with the following options:
- Name

Specifies the Security Label Element name.
- Security Label Component

Specifies the Security Label Component to which the Security Label Element belongs.
- Click the Permission tab and grant permissions to users or roles on the selected security label.
- Click the Comment tab and enter any comments you want to associate with the security label.
- Click the Where Used tab to view where a security label is used in the model.
- Click the UDP tab to work with user-defined properties for the security label.
- Click the Notes tab to view history information and view or edit user notes.
- Click Close.
The DB2 for LUW Security Label Editor closes.
