Open a Version of a Model

When you open a model from the Open dialog, you are opening the parent model. If you click the model to select it, you are able to see who created the model and who made the last changes, and the dates. This information appears in the lower area of the dialog below the name of the model you selected.

You can open a version of a model at any time. The Version Manager lists a model and its associated versions. When you open a version, you do not have the option to select the lock mode, however, after the parent or version is open, you can turn the lock mode on or off by selecting or clearing the Lock option on the File, Mart menu.

To open a version of a model

1. Click Mart, Version Manager on the File menu.

   The Version Manager dialog opens.

2. Expand the model. Select the version you want to open in the Models list and click Open.

   The model appears in the diagram pane.

Important: If you save a model using the same name as another model that has versions, the other model and all versions and marked versions are deleted.
