Attach a Data Type Standards File to a Model

To activate data type mapping in your model, you open a data model and attach the data type standards file to the model.

To attach a data type standards file to a model

  1. Click Model Datatype Options on the Actions menu.

    The Model Datatype Options dialog opens.

  2. Click Use File, then click the Browse button to locate the file that you want to attach.

    The Set Location dialog opens.

  3. Select the file to attach, and click Set.

    The Set Location dialog closes.

  4. Click OK.

    The Model Datatype Options dialog closes and the data type standards file is attached and applied to the current model and all models derived from the current model.
