Check Name Compliance in a Model

After you attach a naming standards file, you can use it to check the names in the data model. It works like a spell checker in a word processor.

To check name compliance in a model

1. Click Standards, Check Naming Standards Compliance on the Tools menu.

   The Check Name Standards Compliance dialog opens.

2. Select the objects whose names you want to check for conformance. Select the check box if you want to check word order and position conformance.
3. Click Start.

   The name checking process begins, and when it finds a non-conforming name, it presents the name in the Non-conforming Name box.

4. Select to either ignore or replace the non-conforming words.
