Change the Macro to Convert Names

You can enter a new macro for the selected object type, or you can click Macro Toolbox to select a different macro.

Note: Macros applied in the Domain Dictionary Dialog override those applied in the Name Mapping Tab of the Naming Options Dialog. The macro is used in combination with the Naming Standards Model glossary. For example, if the macro is %EntityName, the terms looked up in the glossary are those related to the Entity Names.

To change the macro to convert names

  1. Click Model Naming Options on the Actions menu of a physical model.

The Model Naming Options dialog opens.

  2. Click the Name Mapping tab.

    The Name Mapping tab opens.

  3. Click the cell in the Macro Name column for each model object type, and either enter the macro text or click the Macro Toolbox to select a macro, then click OK.

The macro is changed to convert names and the Model Naming Options dialog closes.

Note: Exercise caution when assigning macros for name mapping. A warning message appears if you enter a "self-referencing" macro, such as entering %TableName when mapping Entity to Table.
