Display Options for Transforms

You can select from a number of options for displaying target or source objects after creating a transform.

After you create a transform, the target objects are displayed by default on both the logical and physical side of the model. Target objects also display by default when working with logical-only and physical-only models.

When working with a Logical/Physical model, you can display the source objects in the logical model, and the target objects in the physical model. To set this display, select the Show source objects in logical, target objects in physical check box in the Model Properties Dialog, General tab. This check box is cleared by default.

You can toggle the display of target and source objects in the workspace using the Show Transform Source Objects and Show Transform Target Objects icons on the Transforms toolbar or by selecting these options from the Edit menu.

You can review the target and source objects for a transform in the Modify Properties for Transform dialog. Right-click a transform in the Model Explorer and choose Properties to open the Modify Properties for Transform dialog.

Note: When you open a 4.1.4 (*.ER1) model in r7 for the first time, the display mode for transforms depends on the way the model was last saved in 4.1.4. If the model was last saved in the logical view in 4.1.4, all transforms will display the source objects in r7. If the model was last saved in the physical view in 4.1.4, all transforms will display the target objects in r7. If you want to display your transforms in r7 in the same way they were displayed in 4.1.4, select the Show source objects in logical, target objects in physical check box in the Model Properties Dialog, General tab, after you open the model.
