The CA Dispatch SVC number can be changed to use a number other than the default SVC 161 if it conflicts with other SVC routines. The default CA Dispatch SVC number will not conflict with any other CA products.
To change the SVC number, tailor and submit member DSINSVC in the CADSJCL library to change the SVC number.
To install the CA Dispatch SVC outside of SMP/E and link into a separate load library, use member ADSJSVC in CADSJCL. Customize the ADSJSVC source code the same as you would for DSINSVC .
After you update the SVC routine, you must also perform an IDMS SYSGEN to direct the IDMS component to use the new SVC number. In member DSSYSXA in CADSJCL, locate text "SVC IS xxx" or "SVC = xxx". If you find this text is DSSYSXA, change the xxx to match the SVC specified in DSINSVC or ADSJSVC.
If you cannot find "SVC IS xxx" or "SVC = xxx" in DSSYSXA, do the following:
This will be on a non-comment line with the word SYSTEM on it.
This will be the first non-comment line after the start of the SYSTEM definition that contains a period (.) character.
After you have made this change, run member DSEXUSR1 in CAI.CADSJCL to use the modified SVC in DSSYSXA. Restart CA Dispatch.
