Email Reports from CA Dispatch through CA Spool
Using CA Spool integration CA Dispatch can perform the following actions:
- Send reports directly to recipient's email address.
- Restrict emailed reports to contain only the pages the recipient is authorized to view.
- Convert emailed reports to PDF format. This action is optional.
Reports can be sent to CA Spool for email processing. Depending on the option selected by the recipient, the CA Dispatch reports are attached as TXT or PDF files in the email or a CA Spool weblink is included in the body of the email.
For CA Dispatch to send reports through Email to recipients, you must perform the following actions:
- You must install CA Dispatch User Exit RDFGEX04, utilizing the Email functionality in sample exit RDFGEX4A found in CAI.CADSSRC.
- Define recipients to use a special email keyword on VRDMU310 Recipient Definition Screen.
- Define report recipients to send their output to the CA Spool Writer and Destination.
- Follow specific processing consideration in your CA Spool environment.
For more information about emailing reports through CA Spool, see the following:

The following are the CA Spool processing considerations when using the WEBLINK support:
- Set PURGE=NO on the target CA Spool NODE statement. Set a Retain value equal to the length of time you want reports sent to this node available for viewing in the CA Spool Web Interface.
- Add a CA Spool DESTID for the target CA Spool Node containing FADDRES1='WEBHOST=your.webserver.domain' and FADDRES2='WEBPORT=nnnn', where nnnn is the port number used for CA Spool's Web Interface.
For example:
DESTID QDEST=EMAILPRT,FADDRES1='WEBHOST=CPUA@CA.COM',
FADDRES2='WEBPORT=8080'
