Important! Be sure all of your reports are processed out of the input and output queues before you upgrade to Release 11.7.

CA Dispatch r11.6 provides encryption features. This feature causes data to be encrypted on the LDS files. Data encrypted on the LDS is no longer viewable by the r11.0 software level of CA Dispatch. Prior to starting the upgrade process, the r11.0 LDS files should be unloaded using the r11.0 DSEXULD utility. The unloaded files will provide a restore point that can be used to revert to r11.0.

When upgrading to CA Dispatch r11.7, consider the following:

• Support for upgrading from CA Dispatch r11.0 and r11.6.
• CA Dispatch r5.1 and r6.0 must be upgraded to r11.0. The upgrade procedures are only available from the CA Dispatch r11.0 install tape.
• CA Dispatch r11.7 is only backwardly compatible to CA Dispatch r11.6.
• The following target libraries are used in Release 11.7:
  • CADSJCL – JCL library
  • CADSOPTN – Options libraries used instead of PPOPTION or CAIOPTN
  • CADSCLSO -- CLIST library used instead of CAICLIB or CAICLS0
  • CADSPNLO -- Panel library used instead of CAIISPP or CAIPNL0
  • CADSLOAD -- Execution load library
