Prerequisites

The following topics discuss the prerequisites that are needed to access the mainframe-based output management report repositories using CA DRAS.

Viewing Solutions

At least one of the following solutions must be installed before proceeding with this section. The listed release and service packs are the minimum requirements:

• CA OM Document Viewer

  CA View

  CA View r11 requires Release r11 SP1 or higher.

  CA View r11.5.

  CA View r11.6.

  CA View Release 11.7.

  CA Dispatch

  CA Dispatch r11 requires Release r2.1 SP3 plus APAR QO18479 or higher.

  CA Dispatch r11.6 requires Release r2.1 SP3 plus APAR QO18479 or higher.

  CA Dispatch Release 11.7.

• CA OM Web Viewer

  CA View

  CA View r11 SP2 requires Release r11 SP1 or higher.

  CA View r11.5.

  CA View r11.6.

  CA Dispatch

  CA Dispatch r11 requires Release r11 SP1 or higher.

  CA Dispatch r11.6 requires Release r11 SP1 or higher.

• CA OM Web Viewer requires either Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or a higher browser.

TCP/IP Services

TCP/IP Services must be installed on all computers running CA OM Web Viewer.

Install CAICCI-PC

CAICCI-PC must be installed on each of the Microsoft Windows computers that are running CA OM Document Viewer.

Note: CAICCI-PC is not required for end-user computers accessing CA OM Web Viewer through a web browser, but it must be installed on the server computer that hosts the CA OM Web Viewer System.

CAICCI-PC may be installed by selecting one of the following methods:

• CAICCI-PC can be installed directly from the CA OM Document viewer CD or installed automatically through a silent install when CA OM Web Viewer r11 SP0 or r11.5 SP0 is installed. CAICCI-PC is not installed automatically if a prior release is found.
• CAICCI-PC can be installed directly from the CA Common Services Installation Cartridge.
• For the most current version of CAICCI-PC, download the CCIPCW32.ZIP file from the CA FTP site ftp://ftp.ca.com/CAproducts/ca90s and double‑click on the CCIPCW32.ZIP file. Select Save, to save the file to disk. The files CCIPCSSL.EXE and CCIPCSSL.ZIP are also available for download from the CA FTP site.

  Note: For more information about CCI Install and Uninstall procedures, see the informational APAR QI91436.

Configure CAICCI-PC to use the TCP/IP Protocol, and specify the IP address of the host system where the CA DRAS task is running on the mainframe.

Note: Use the TEST facility in CAICCI-PC to verify that a connection has been established. If you do not receive a successful connection, review your CA Common Services installation before attempting to establish a connection to any mainframe repository system through the CA OM Web Viewer.
