Reason:
You can optionally specify a system parameter HSMREPLY that allows the computer operator to terminate HSMGEN1 or HSMGEN2 conversion jobs before completion (a graceful shutdown). Message 4570 is issued to the operator at the beginning of the HSMGEN1 or HSMGEN2 conversion process. This option permits you to start HSMGEN1 or HSMGEN2 conversions and run until the resources are needed for something else. Thus HSMGEN1 or HSMGEN2 conversions can be run in otherwise unused machine time.
Action:
If the operator replies to the message to indicate that HSMGEN1 or HSMGEN2 conversion processing is to be stopped, a response of 'END' terminates the job at the end of the current record. Processing completes normally, and all reports and statistics are generated as normal.
