Reason:
The command parameters NEWHLQ and/or NEWHLQ2 for FMS RECOVER caused the resulting data set to exceed 44 characters. The original data set had fewer than two nodes for NEWHLQ or three nodes for NEWHLQ2.The Job is terminated with RC=8. This applies only to non-VSAM data sets. VSAM data sets will get a catalog error with RC=8 RSN=52 Duplicate Data Set and no Message 4485.
Action:
When Message 4485 is issued during FMS RECOVER, the usage of command parameters NEWHLQ (node1) and/or NEWHLQ2 (node 2) is in question. NEWHLQ2 may be used in conjunction with NEWHLQ. Be careful that using these parameters does not cause the data set name to exceed 44 characters. For VSAM data sets, you must allow for additional room to append low level qualifiers for components like data, index, AIX, or path.
