Reason:
You can optionally specify a system parameter IXMREPLY that allows the computer operator to terminate IXMAINT prematurely (a graceful shutdown). Message 4442 is issued to the operator at the beginning of the process. This option permits you to start IXMAINT and shut it down gracefully if needed.
Action:
If the operator replies to the message to indicate that IXMAINT processing is to be stopped, a response of 'END' will terminate the job. Processing will complete normally, and all reports and statistics will be generated as normal.
