Reason:
Before the CONVERT command proceeds with a given conversion, it examines the FILES data set (fff) to get record counts from each of the subfiles. For a large FILES data set, this may take several minutes. The current time is logged as (hh:mm:ss). Once the record counts have been established, it verifies the target database has sufficient space in both the data and index areas.
