Reason:
Offline VBACKUP determined that the volume on device (unit) was not available for processing. In the first form of the message (nn) can be 1, 2 or 3.
Indicates that the device presented sense information with the Intervention Required status set
Indicates that the device indicated channel related errors (likely as the result of a SIM error)
Indicates an unexpected error condition.
The second form of the message provides the return code and reason code from the I/O path manager. The following are the most common return codes:
Indicates that no paths physically available.
Indicates that no paths logically available.
Indicates that I/O timed out.
Indicates that UCB not connected.
Action:
Verify that the device (unit) is usable from the system on which Offline VBACKUP is running. Try issuing a VARY ONLINE for device (unit) and then VARY the device offline again. Contact CA Technical Support for assistance if the device can be used by other jobs or if it starts to work after issuing the VARY ONLINE and OFFLINE.
