PURGE COMMAND ISSUED AGAINST VOLUMES THAT CONTAIN FAST ARCHIVED DATA SETS AND THE "FORCE" PARAMETER WAS NOT SPECIFIED.

Followed by one of the following:COMMAND REJECTED or COMMAND ALLOWED IN SIMULATE MODE.

Reason:

The PURGE command specified one or more volumes or patterns that referred to a volume that had the Fast Migrate flag turned on. These entries are not on the actual volume; they refer to an identical copy of the data set on the archive volume. As a result, be aware that the Fast Migrate entries can be unintentionally deleted.

Action:

Determine whether the volumes should be purged with the Fast Archive entries. If so, specify the FORCE parameter on the PURGE command. If you are unsure which volumes can have the flag turned on, rerun the job-step and specify SIMULATE on the commands. The 2364 and 2367 messages indicate which entries are Fast Archive data sets.
