Reason:
The Archive Tape Copy Utility (MERGCOPY) encountered an output tape that was too short to contain the Archvol files from the Primary Tape. (Only multivolume files can exceed one volume.) The first time this problem is encountered, MERGCOPY will issue error message 4175 and prompt for a new tape. If the problem is encountered twice more, MERGCOPY will issue the failed message 4175.
Action:
If the retry is successful, no action is necessary. If MERGCOPY fails after two retries, find an output tape that is long enough to contain the data on the input Primary tape, and rerun the job.
