INCORRECT BLOCK FOUND, TAPES ARE EITHER OUT OF PROPER SEQUENCE, A VOLUME IS MISSING OR A BAD TAPE. CALCULATED EXPECTED BLOCK# (nnn), READ BLOCK# (rrr)

Reason:

CADisk REBUILD has encountered a block number sequence problem while reading the input archive file. The block number found on the record (rrr) did not match the actual sequence number calculated (nnn) for the block read.

Action:

This is usually a sign that a multivolume tape input was processed out of sequence or that a tape volume is missing from the series. If a single volume is input, it is a bad tape. Use the CADisk tape fix utility to correct the tape and rerun REBUILD.

After this error, use the CADisk purge function to clean up any DSNINDEX and ARCHVOLS records created before the point of the abend.
