Reason:
After reading the indicated data set (ddd), CADisk compared the total number of records it read against the record total found in the catalog. The two values did not match. If the total in the catalog (nnn) is less than the total calculated by CADisk (ttt), the mismatch is probably caused by an incorrect total in the catalog. This is especially true for IMS-type data sets that do not go through standard close and therefore do not have accurate statistics in the catalog.
If the catalog total is greater than the CADisk total, this also is normally caused by an incorrect catalog total. Again, this is more prevalent in IMS-type data sets. However, this discrepancy should be viewed with more caution since it may be an indication of lost data.
Action:
If you are suspicious of a particular CADisk total, run a different utility (such as IDCAMS PRINT) to determine the number of records it reads in the data set. If this total is different from the CADisk total, contact CA Technical Support for assistance.
