ERROR RESETTING CHANGE BIT IN VTOC ENTRY FOR DATA SET, REASON CODE = (n), VOL = (vvv), DSN = (ddd)

Reason:

CADisk was unable to turn the change bit off for data set (ddd) on volume (vvv) after backing it up to the archives. The reason code is (n). Common reason codes are:

• 3—Between the times CADisk started the BACKUP operation against the data set and the BACKUP was complete, the data set was updated by another task. This is determined by comparing a copy of the format-1 DSCB that was originally taken from the VTOC to a copy of it taken from the VTOC just before the update was to be done. The change bit remains on. The backup was taken successfully and is usable for restore.
• 8—Abnormal condition has occurred during processing to update the VTOC entry for the data set. Previous error messages have been issued to indicate the cause of the failure.
