RENAME OF RACF-PROTECTED DATA SETS IS NOT ALLOWED DATA SET HAS BEEN BYPASSED OLDNAME = (ddd) NEWNAME = (nnn)
Reason:
One of these versions of this message will be issued when CADisk has rejected a request to rename a data set. Possible causes include:
- The user has requested to rename the data set through the NEWNAME parameter during a Restore or Move/Copy function. CADisk has rejected the action for the reason specified by (ccc).
- If this is a restore request and the NEWNAME parameter was not specified, the request is rejected because a new name was given to the data set when it was archived. To restore the data set, the original data set name must be used. Rename the data set by using standard IBM utilities after it is moved/restored.
- Password-protected data sets and RACF‑protected data sets may not be renamed through the NEWNAME parameter without sufficient authority. Include sysparm PASSNEWN or RACFNEWN with a value of Y, and resubmit.
