TARGET DATA SET IS FULL, ALLOCATED DATA SET MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT SPACE ALLOCATED IN PRIMARY EXTENT TO HOLD ALL DATA
Reason:
This message can be caused by two different situations:
- A user has preallocated a data set to be used by CADisk and its space allocation is too small to hold the data being moved to it.
- CADisk has miscalculated the space required for the data set. This miscalculation is due to short blocks that exist in the original data set. This calculation is normally done only during data set reblocking or during conversion to new device types.
Action:
If the data set was preallocated, scratch it and allocate it again with more space. If CADisk is allocating the data set (too small), specify values for sysparms ADPCTPDS, ADPCTOTH, or ADTRACKS to cause a sufficient space increase, then resubmit the request.
