Configure Microsoft SNMP Agent
This procedure describes how to configure the SNMP Agent.
Follow these steps:
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Double-click Administrative Tools.
The Administrative Tools window opens.
- Double-click Services.
The Services window opens.
- Double-click the SNMP service.
The SNMP Service Properties window opens.
- Change Startup Type to Automatic on the General tab.
This action configures the SNMP service to start the Microsoft SNMP agent on system startup.
- Click the Traps tab.
- Type the community name that your computer sends trap messages to in the Community Name field.
- Click Add to list.
- Click Apply and OK.
- Click OK.
