Select Items in a Tree Diagram

You can select settings such as system settings, application settings, and files and folders.

To select settings

Click the plus sign (+) to expand the list and show all the items in a category so that you can view all of the items before you make a selection.
The node expands to reveal the items for that category.
Check a check box next to a node in the tree to select the items as follows:
- If the check box is at the level of a node (a plus sign (+) or minus sign (-)) before it, all items in the branch are selected.
- If the check box is at the end of a node, only that item is selected.
Note: If you do not want to migrate everything in a category, click the plus signs (+) to display the items and subcategories under a category and make specific selections. For instance, if you check the Appearance check box without displaying and selecting its subcategories, all of your source system fonts are migrated.
Make the following selections if you like:
- Click Select All to place a check mark beside all settings in all categories. (Not recommended.)
- Click Deselect All to clear all of the settings on the source system.
- Click Print to print the list of selected items for your records.
Click Next to proceed to the next page.
